One concern of young adults with children that churches often overlook is child care. Many young adults (20 & 30 somethings) would love to attend events at your church, but they may have difficulty obtaining child care. So be sure to provide that at every event. You can use adults of all ages, or even high school youth.
Years ago, a church I attended had a childcare ministry. Besides overseeing the nursery on Sunday mornings, the job description for that volunteer ministry included finding childcare workers for all events. So when another ministry was sponsoring an event (for example, a Mother-Daughter banquet sponsored by the Women’s Ministry), the childcare ministry would be contacted and asked to provide child care.
If parents of young children knew that child care would be provided, you would find them attending many more services and events!
